Virtual LAAF 2021 Instructor Application, February 27 & 28

Questions? Email Melinda, our Director of Education, at

Thank you for your interest in teaching at LAAF 2021. Use the form below to tell us what class or topic you would like to teach. As always, we want the best and brightest stars in a cappella to teach their passions to our attendees!

What a year! As COVID-19 has thrown everyone for a loop, this year's LAAF will be completely virtual. You will see a few additional questions in light of the all-virtual format this year, but any additional information regarding how you plan to address the subject matter in a virtual format would be extremely helpful.

The classes we are looking for need to be hands-on, interactive, progressive, thought-provoking, and inspirational. Consider having your students sing, participate or discuss during the class. They should leave your class with some new tangible skills and ideas to take action on.

All applications must be submitted no later than January 19th and will be reviewed by members of the LAAF/CASA team. During the submission process, a team member may reach out for more information in order to revise, refine, or flesh out your submitted class idea(s). Applicants will be notified of instructor selection by February 2nd.

Thank you!

  • Masterclass Information

This year being all virtual, we are planning to pair groups with "mentors" as one-on-one sessions instead of masterclasses.
  • We value the overall experience of our staff, volunteers and attendees. To that end, we require that all those involved in our festivals and programs be familiar with our policies and complete our Code of Conduct training. Please review these before submitting your application.
