Outreach Coordinator

The Boston Sings [BOSS] team is looking for an Outreach Coordinator to join the production team as we prepare for #BOSS2026, taking place April 10–12 in Somerville, MA. BOSS is put on by the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA).

Responsibilities include:

Reaching out to groups via email, Instagram message, or other outlets to market our festival and help bring in more attendees
Participating in weekly BOSS team calls (Tuesdays at 9pm ET) where you'll give updates on outreach efforts
Following up with groups who don't respond, and appropriately communicating with those who do
Maintaining and managing an existing list of group contacts to keep our outreach database up-to-date

BOSS production roles are done on a volunteer basis; local or nearby applicants preferred as transportation and lodging is not provided. Interested? Apply Now

Photographer (weekend-of)

The Boston Sings [BOSS] team is looking for Photographer volunteers to capture photos over the duration of the weekend festival, taking place April 10–12 in Somerville, MA. BOSS is put on by the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA).

Responsibilities include:

Review photo requirements with BOSS Executive Producer ahead of festival weekend
Commit to taking photos at specific shifts of the weekend
- Friday evening: Scholastic Competition
- Saturday daytime: Workshops & Masterclasses
- Saturday evening: Pro Concert
- Sunday daytime: Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARA) Ceremony
Shoot a variety of horizontal and vertical content during the festival as committed, following photo requirements
Upload & organize usable shots to a shared drive within one week after festival is complete

Photographers are expected to provide their own equipment, transportation, room and board, etc.

Videographer (weekend-of)

The Boston Sings [BOSS] team is looking for Videographer volunteers to capture video content over the duration of the weekend festival, taking place April 10–12 in Somerville, MA. BOSS is put on by the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA).

Responsibilities include:

Review video requirements with BOSS Executive Producer ahead of festival weekend
Commit to shooting video at specific shifts of the weekend
- Friday evening: Scholastic Competition
- Saturday daytime: Workshops & Masterclasses
- Saturday evening: Pro Concert
Shoot a variety of content during the festival as committed, following photo requirements
- One camera set-up to capture static run of show Friday & Saturday evenings
- Additional videos shot dynamically over the weekend
Upload & organize footage to a shared drive within one week after festival is complete

Videographers are expected to provide their own equipment, transportation, room and board, etc.

Boston Sings [BOSS]

Boston Sings [BOSS] is a 3-day event featuring everything you’ve come to expect from an a cappella festival and more: an innovative spin on the Scholastic Competition on Friday, a full day of workshops and masterclasses, and performances by internationally acclaimed groups at the Pro Concert on Saturday. The exclusive LIVE Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards Ceremony closes the festival on Sunday.

CASA

The Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA) is a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to inspire a strong sense of unity by fostering diverse connections, supporting innovation, celebrating excellence, and sharing knowledge in the worldwide vocal music community. Under CASA’s directorship and funding, we are able to bring festivals like our own Boston Sings, LAAF, and SoJam to life.
